The YSO Classics present raising star Tomaki Sakata, the youngest competitor in the Cliburn Piano Competition September 20 in the Rachmaninoff Rhapsody; the comedic genius of Charlie Chaplin’s Little Tramp in his 1931 silent film City Lights March 21 and the combined forces of the YSO, its Youth Orchestra and the Boardman High School Choirs with Sean Jones, trumpet virtuoso, April 18.

The YSO Pops begins October 18 with a salute to composer Marvin Hamlisch with Donna MKechnie (A Chorus Line), Christiane Noll (Ragtime) and Doug LaBrecque (Phantom of the Opera) and West Branch High School Vocal and Theatre Departments…..

…and continues November 1 when guests AC and Kelly and Broadway luminaries Darius deHaas (Rent) and Morgan James (The Addams Family) celebrate Halloween at Ghostly Stories…the voice of Ariel from Disney’s The Little Mermaid, Jodie Benson, performs at the holiday concert December 13 with The Youngstown Connection, Simple Gifts Interfaith Chorus and Easy Street Little Rascals…

Come join the YSO and conductor Randall Craig Fleischer Saturday, August 23 at Eastwood Field for Pops at the Ballpark beginning at 8:15 PM.  You’ll hear such favorites as music from Superman and Mission Impossible, swing tunes like In The Mood and a dazzling fireworks display to music from Star Wars.

Early entrance at 6 PM with VIP dinner on the Picnic Deck.  Opening music by The Jeff Bremer Group begins at 6:45 PM.
